Descripción larga
The Town Hall building is one of the finest examples of 16th-century Aragonese Renaissance architecture in the city. It is characterised by its two side towers and the upper gallery protected by a large wooden eave.
Inside the courtyard, visitors can admire a wooden ceiling that is also reproduced in the Hall of Justice, where the famous painting by Casado del Alisal entitled The Legend of the Monk King, popularly known as “The Bell of Huesca”, is displayed.
Next to the Town Hall stands the Imperial College of Santiago, considered for more than three centuries one of the most prestigious institutions of the former University of Huesca.
