Tourist route combining the impressive Loarre Castle with the historic and monumental town of Bolea
Descripción larga
This route allows visitors to discover two of the great heritage treasures of the Hoya de Huesca region: the majestic Loarre Castle and the historic village of Bolea. The itinerary begins at Loarre Castle, considered one of the best-preserved Romanesque fortresses in Europe, located in a spectacular natural setting at the foot of the Sierra de Loarre mountains. Its walls, towers and medieval rooms transport visitors back to the days of the ancient Kingdom of Aragón.

The route continues to Bolea, a charming village known for the Collegiate Church of Santa María la Mayor, a masterpiece of the Aragonese Renaissance featuring an impressive main altarpiece. Beyond its historical and religious heritage, Bolea is also renowned for its traditional streets and agricultural surroundings, famous for cherry and almond production.

This itinerary offers a perfect combination of history, architecture, landscapes and Aragonese rural culture.
